Brackenlea Cottage is a traditional 2-bedroom Northumberland cottage offering charming three-star, self-catering accomodation.

Brackenlea Cottage wanted to update their web site to a new look and move to a CMS-based site. The CMS would be particularly useful for updating pages quickly and easily, they also wanted to add a photo gallery and include the most recent content from their twitter feed.

A site celebrating, in a photo gallery and day-by-day "blog", Captain Robert F. Scott's British Antarctic Expedition of 1910 (the Terra Nova Expedition) and Roald Amundsen's Norwegian expedition to Antarctica at the same time.

Race For The Pole wanted a site style that reflected the age in which the expeditions it highlights took place and the "old canvas and linen" look was what was settled on for the site.

The site, behind the scenes, is interesting because it uses a combination of Joomla and Wordpress; Joomla for its general CMS capabilities, photo gallery capability and multi-user administration, Wordpress for its powerful blogging capabilities

The Trewern Arms is a picturesque 16th Century Inn, situated deep within a secluded valley and set in its own grounds astride the banks of the River Nevern, nr. Newport, Pembrokeshire in Wales.

The Trewern Arms wanted four main things from us, namely: to set up their own on-line booking system for their rooms; to have their site based on a CMS system; to publicise their own Steakhouse Grill and restaurants; and to update their site's look and feel with a new template.

So successful was their new site that the recouped the cost of our development within the first two months of the site going live.

Knockhundred Translations provides translation and interpreting services in over 190 languages. They are a professional UK translation and interpreting company with clients in London and throughout the whole of the UK, as well as having many customers based outside of the UK.

Knockhundred had three primary objectives for their new site. First of all to change their site's look and feel with a new template.

A CMS capability was also highly sought after, so that Knockhundred could add their own pages quickly and easily. This they have done to incredible effect, achieving first-page placement in Google searches.

Thirdly Knockhundred asked us to establish an on-line learning centre for the NOCN Regionally Accredited Community Interpreter courses they regularly run. This was done and it, along with a forum for students, runs smoothly - although these are not visible to casually visitor's to the site. The learning, tutor and forum areas are private and are visible to users, i.e. registered tutors and students, once they are logged in to the site.
